DESCRIPTION:Once a month MCU heads to Jinja for discounted group lessons with the stellar team at Kayak the Nile. Paddlers of all levels – including beginners – are welcome. It’s always a fun weekend out of the big city! More info\, incl MCU discounts\, all-you-need-to-know on the lessons and sign-up here. \nNon-kayakers are more than welcome to join and enjoy a chilled out weekend with MCU. There are plenty of non-kayaking options from swimming\, stand-up-paddle-boarding on the Nile\, going on community walks\, horseback riding and many more. SUMMARY:Hoima Lake Albert cycling
DESCRIPTION:Ready for a nice weekend out of town? \nThe Kampala Group of Bikers is planning a weekend to Hoima in the weekend of October 6. The idea is to drive to Hoima on Friday. Stay at Kontiki Hotel and cycle to Lake Albert Lodge on Saturday\, around 85 km. A great ride\, and beautiful landscapes. \nOn Sunday we can do a shorter ride in the game reserve\, around 25-30 km. Since it is a long weekend we can do a second ride on the Sunday afternoon\, for those interested. We can also choose to cycle back to Hoima on the Monday. \nThe non-bikers can drive from Hoima to the lodge. SUMMARY:KGB Sunday Ride
DESCRIPTION:Every week the Kampala Group of Bikers (KGB) will organize a fun ride on Sunday morning. The rides will be at an easy pace\, not too long (25-35km) and most important of all: great fun! The rides start from Kabira Country Club at 9am. You can park your car there for free. Our aim is to be back before noon for a good cup of coffee. Make sure to bring water\, food/snacks\, suncream\, a helmet and your bike and some money for coffee or drinks. If you don’t have a bike you can also hire one from Red Dirt Uganda (comes with a helmet) for 65k\, but let us know before the end of Friday.
