SUMMARY:SPECIAL EVENT: NIGHT CLIMBING AT THE MCU QUARRY
DESCRIPTION:Hello Climbers! Saturday 17 August will be a special event at the quarry… NIGHT CLIMBING AND GRILL OUT!!! Starting at 3:30-10:00 PM. With flood lights and head lamps (bring your own) we’ll be climbing under the stars!! There will also be a grill on hand so bring your own meats and/or veggies to cook! \n\nAt the quarry you will find a range of routes from beginner to more advanced. If you do not own climbing equipment (ropes\, harness\, belay device\, helmet) the Club provides equipment that you can rent for 5\,000UGX (15\,000UGX for non-members). Please bring sports clothes\, water\, and some collateral for rental equipment. \nClimbers usually go for some food and beers at Cafe Roma after climbing. \nThe cost is free for members. Memberships cost 50\,000UGX for 1 year and 20\,000 for Ugandan students. New members can register at the event. \nDirections: From Tank Hill Road head toward Bukasa Road. Turn left onto Kalungi Road. Take your first right onto Kawagga Close. The quarry is on private property at the end of the road. Parking is available to MCU members.
