DESCRIPTION:We hold outdoor climbing every third Tuesday of the month (or whenever members are available to lead) from 5:30pm-7pm at the Rock Quarry in Muyenga. A range of different routes from beginner to more advanced. If you do not own any climbing equipment the Club has equipment there that you can rent. \nPlease bring sports clothes and some water. Climbers usually go for some food and beers nearby at Caffe Rome where members get a 15% discount after climbing. DESCRIPTION:Once a month MCU heads to Jinja for discounted group lessons with the stellar team at Kayak the Nile. Paddlers of all levels – including beginners – are welcome. It’s always a fun weekend out of the big city! More info\, incl MCU discounts\, all-you-need-to-know on the lessons and sign-up here. \nNon-kayakers are more than welcome to join and enjoy a chilled out weekend with MCU. There are plenty of non-kayaking options from swimming\, stand-up-paddle-boarding on the Nile\, going on community walks\, horseback riding and many more. DESCRIPTION:We are lucky enough to have a certified Alpine Instructor from the Washington Alpine Club in Kampala this summer.  Leslie Otto has been an instructor for years and is offering a free belay clinic at the Quarry.  Know any dodgy belayers out there that you don’t want at the end of your rope?  I do!  Ever had anyone decline your offer to belay them and wonder why?  Never learned how to belay properly?  Now is the time to tighten up your safety.  Don’t leave it to chance.  Do it the right way!
