SUMMARY:Fort Portal Mountainbike Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Organized by: Red Dirt Uganda Mountainbike Centre and Kampala Group of Bikers (KGB) \nKluges Guest Farm\, Kampala Group of Bikers and Red Dirt Uganda Mountainbike Centre have teamed up to organise an awesome mountainbike chalenge in Fort Portal area. The event takes place on Saturday September 2nd at 8:00 and starts from Kluges. \nThe challenge consists of a thrilling 23km cross-country ride that takes you through beautiful tea plantations and makes you slalom between breathtaking craterlakes. The racetrack is 100% off-road with wide fireroads and singletracks. With around 600 elevation metres you can expect some challenging climbs. A nice challenge for both the beginner mountainbiker and the experience mudbuster.

SUMMARY:ISU Climbing
DESCRIPTION:We hold indoor climbing every first Tuesday of the month between 7-9pm at the International School of Uganda (ISU) in Lubowa. A range of different routes from beginner to more advanced. If you do not own any climbing equipment the Club has equipment there that you can borrow. Please bring sports clothes and some water. Climbers usually go for some food and beers nearby after climbing. The cost is free for members. Memberships cost 50\,000UGX for 1 year and 20\,000 for Ugandan students.

SUMMARY:Nyiragongo!!!
DESCRIPTION:The largest active lava lake in the world\, Mt. Nyiragongo is a trip not to miss.  We’ll depart on Thursday\, September 14th\, drive on Thursday and Friday\, and return to Kampala on the following Monday.  Cost is approximately 450 USD.  That includes 105 for the DRC visa and 300 USD for the hike itself.  We hope to get an MCU discount on this one saving 30 USD on the hike.  There is also a bus from KLA to Gisenyi\, then you can walk into Goma and get another bus to the Kibati trailhead.  Total cost depends on your transport and accommodation options.  Don’t forget your yellow fever card or you’ll pay for it!!!  The bus from KLA to Goma is 45k and takes 12 hours.

It’s always a fun weekend out of the big city! There are plenty of non-kayaking options from swimming\, stand-up-paddle-boarding on the Nile\, going on community walks\, horseback riding and many more. DESCRIPTION:We hold outdoor climbing every third Tuesday of the month at the Quarry in Muyenga. A range of different routes from beginner to more advanced. If you do not own any climbing equipment the Club has equipment there that you can rent for 5\,000 UGX per item. Please bring sports clothes and some water. Climbers usually go for food and drinks nearby at Caffe Roma\, where MCU members get a 15% discount. \nIf you’re not a member\, you can sign up during the event. Memberships cost 50\,000 UGX for 1 year and 20\,000 UGX for Ugandan students. \nDirections \nDrive down tank hill road\, past Caffe Roma. Turn left at the intersection onto Kalungi road\, then take the first right on Kawagga close. Drive to the end of the road to enter the quarry.

DESCRIPTION:The Source of the Nile Trail Running Challenge is a prestigious race with the most stunning and scenic trail you will probably ever run in your life! Set at the source of the Nile in Jinja\, Uganda\, the different running trails will not only take you along the banks of the great River Nile but upon rocky paths past the rapids and up to the scenic hills overlooking lake Victoria and down through villages and banana plantations. This year we will include a 50km distance for the truely adventurous Ultra Trail runners. This Ultra Trail race is proudly organized by Activate Uganda on the 24th of September 2017
