DESCRIPTION:Every week the Kampala Group of Bikers (KGB) will organize a fun ride on Sunday morning. The rides will be at an easy pace\, not too long (25-35km) and most important of all: great fun! The rides start from Kabira Country Club at 9am. You can park your car there for free. Our aim is to be back before noon for a good cup of coffee. Make sure to bring water\, food/snacks\, suncream\, a helmet and your bike and some money for coffee or drinks. If you don’t have a bike you can also hire one from Red Dirt Uganda (comes with a helmet) for 65k\, but let us know before the end of Friday. SUMMARY:7 Hills Walk
DESCRIPTION:Legend has it that Kampala\, like Rome\, is a city that was built on seven hills. The city derives its name Kampala for the Luganda word “Kasozi ka Mpala” which means a Hill of many Impala. \nThe Kampala of today comprises of 21 hills\, but a walk through the 7 Hills will give you the opportunity to explore the genesis of the present day city. \n \nThe walk will start on the 8th of March at 8AM at Moonland Gardens on Nsambya-Gaba Road (lots of parking spots available for a small fee). Please arrive around 7.45AM\, as the party will depart at 8AM sharp. \nThis event is a big hit every year! The walk will be led by MCU Patron and Advisory Board Member\, Mr Deo Lubega. Please call or SMS him to book a place: 0712890369. \nThe 7 Hills Walk is completely free for MCU memebers and if you are not yet one\, you can easily register here\, it takes only 2 minutes! \nHere is the proposed itinerary:

SUMMARY:Girls Gone Nile
DESCRIPTION:It’s time for another Girls Gone Nile weekend\, which offers us kayaking ladies the chance to improve our skills and push ourselves that little bit harder without the pressure of having the guys around while having an awesome time hanging out with each other. \nWe’ll spend Saturday surfing Superhole\, where we can work on our surfing and rolling skills in a more protected environment. You should have taken at least 3 lessons with KTN and have some basic rolling skills to come to Superhole. \nOn Sunday\, we’ll be doing a river run where we’ll be going down all the big stuff and spend some time at Nile Special at the end. For this you should have done at least one river run before. The ladies that aren’t good enough yet can organise a lesson with KTN on the Sunday. \nWe’ll be camping at the famous Land right by Superhole on Saturday night\, cook our own food and enjoy some drinks around the fire. \nAnyone not into kayaking\, or not quite good enough yet can join us for the social side and enjoy hanging out at the Land. \nIf you dont have your own camping gear\, see whether you can share a tent with someone or post on the MCU facebook page whether you can borrow the equipment. DESCRIPTION:This weekend the MCU is headed to Hairy Lemon Island for discounted group lessons with the stellar team at Kayak The Nile.\n\nPaddlers of all levels — especially beginners — are welcome. It’s always a fun weekend out of the big city! For more info\, including MCU discounts\, and anything else you might need to know\, sign up here.\n\nNon-kayakers are more than welcome to come and enjoy a chilled out weekend with MCU. There are plenty of non-kayaking options like swimming\, lounging on the island\, frisbee golf\, and more!\n\nIn addition to signing up using the online form\, please book your accomodation directly with Hairy Lemon Island here. Camping is available as well as dorm rooms\, but book fast!\n\nShuttles for transport are not available\, but after you sign up\, post to our Facebook page and we’ll help you find a ride!
