DESCRIPTION:  \nTo all climbers and outdoor enthousiasts out there: We are holding the first ROCK CLIMBING FESTIVAL!!! \nThe event will take place on the 15th of September 2018 from 2PM at the MCU Muyenga Quarry and is designed for the whole family\, for seasoned climbers and for curious active people as well. \nClimbing gear will be available on site (5000 Ugx for MCU members and 15000 Ugx for non-members). \n  \nWe propose climbing skills clinics: \n\nclimbing safety\nbelaying techniques\n\n  \nFor the climbing-timid out there\, we will have team games available at the quarry site like volleyball\, viking chess\, slackline\, frisbee\, badminton\, football. \n  \nFood wise we will have tasty samosas and delicious cakes for purchase provided by Refuge and Hope International. It’s for a good cause\, so don’t hold back! \nWe will have a beverage bar with ice-cold refreshments to buy and water for free (please bring your own bottle for refills to be eco friendly 🙂 ) \nHere is the event program: \n \n  \nMusic will accompany our event all afternoon so bring along your dancing skills. \n  \nSave the date: 15th of Sept !!! \nSee you there! \n \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Hi Bikers!\nKGB is organising a mountainbike weekend in Fort Portal\, September 21-23.\n\nThe plan is to make our way to FP by car on Friday afternoon and stay at Kluges Guestfarm. Do a long ride on Saturday\, around 65-75 km\, and a shorter ride of around 35 km on Sunday. In between we can enjoy the pool\, have a beer and good food.\nLet me know if you would like to join so I can add you the the special KGB FP Whatsapp group. DESCRIPTION:This weekend\, the MCU is headed to Jinja and the White Nile River for discounted group lessons with the stellar team at Kayak The Nile.\n\n\nPaddlers of all levels — especially beginners — are welcome. It’s always a fun weekend out of the big city! For more info\, including MCU discounts\, and anything else you might need to know\, sign up here.\n\n\n\nNon-kayakers are more than welcome to come and enjoy a chilled out weekend with MCU. There are plenty of non-kayaking options like swimming\, stand-up paddle boarding\, and more!\n\n\nBe sure to book accommodation with Nile River Explorers or Nile River Camp directly. Camping is available in addition to dorm rooms and safari tents.\n\nFor transport options\, it is possible to sign up for the NRE Shuttle\, but post to our Facebook page and we’ll hep you find a ride! DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday 22 September at Jinja BaseCamp for a photo exhibition featuring images from the beautiful Hairy Lemon Uganda. As we farewell this special place we’ll also be raising funds on the night for Bubugo Conservation Trust and Nile River reforestation projects. \nThe night will include a live auction of beautiful one-off Emily Ward Photography images framed with salvaged pieces of wood from Hairy Lemon Island – truly unique pieces of art for anyone who loved the island over the years. There will also be other unique pieces of salvaged memorabilia from the island available on the night. More details to follow soon… \nFood and drinks will be available on the night.
