SUMMARY:Mount Elgon Enduro Race
DESCRIPTION:Join us for 2 days of Enduro stage racing on some of the most incredible natural terrain in Eastern Uganda\, riding down the flanks of Mt Elgon\, the largest freestanding volcanic base in the world. \n  \nDay 1 sees us session ‘mini utah’ around fingers rock and some short but super fun and tech stages. 4 or 5 stages with about 30km of riding. \n  \nOn day 2 we take a shuttle up to 2600m on the edge of Mt Elgon National Park\, from here we hit some incredible long descents and ride 4 – 5 stages all the way to the valley floor at 1100m . \n  \nTwo days of incredible riding on natural terrain in some of the most beautiful landscapes on the planet. SUMMARY:Climbing at the MCU Quarry
DESCRIPTION:We hold outdoor climbing at 4:30-7pm at the MCU Quarry in Muyenga.  \nAt the quarry you will find a range of routes from beginner to more advanced. If you do not own climbing equipment (ropes\, harness\, belay device\, helmet) the Club provides equipment that you can rent for 5\,000UGX. Please bring sports clothes\, water\, and some collateral for rental equipment.  \nClimbers usually go for some food and beers at Cafe Roma after climbing.  \nThe cost is free for members. Memberships cost 50\,000UGX for 1 year and 20\,000 for Ugandan students. New members can register at the event. \nDirections: From Tank Hill Road head toward Bukasa Road. Turn left onto Kalungi Road. Take your first right onto Kawagga Close. The quarry is on private property at the end of the road. Parking is available to MCU members

DESCRIPTION:This weekend\, the MCU is headed to Jinja and the White Nile River for discounted group lessons with the stellar team at Kayak The Nile.\n\n\nPaddlers of all levels — especially beginners — are welcome. It’s always a fun weekend out of the big city! For more info\, including MCU discounts\, and anything else you might need to know\, sign up here.\n\n\n\nNon-kayakers are more than welcome to come and enjoy a chilled out weekend with MCU. There are plenty of non-kayaking options like swimming\, stand-up paddle boarding\, and more!\n\n\nBe sure to book accommodation with Nile River Explorers or Nile River Camp directly. Camping is available in addition to dorm rooms and safari tents.\n\nFor transport options\, it is possible to sign up for the NRE Shuttle\, but post to our Facebook page and we’ll hep you find a ride!
