SUMMARY:Mt. Kenya Batian Climb
DESCRIPTION:For all you serious climbers: Mount Batian is Kenya’s highest peak\, at 5200m! To summit this beast\, you have to master roughly 20 pitches from 4800-5200m.  You will need to have a lot of experience in multi-pitch climbing and prepare well for cold weather and altitude complications.  The climbs are generally low grades\, but logistics and altitude make it very challenging.  The costs are relatively low at 380 USD for park entry and climbing permit.  Food\, transport\, lodging and gear on your own/shared cost. DESCRIPTION:Fancy a change from Insita/Luwazi? A group of MCU climbers will leave on Thursday\, November 24th in the evening to conquer Sipi’s climbing walls.  Climbing will be in two bolted locations on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday.  Some time will be spent exploring a new wall as well as checking out some caves and waterfalls nearby.  Back in KLA late Sunday evening.  Cheap camping and local food possible.  Upscale options also available.  Contact matt.battani@gmail.com if you are interested!

SUMMARY:Inisita (Luwazi) Rockclimbing!
DESCRIPTION:MCU is heading rock climbing once again at Luwazi. Climbers of any level of experience are welcome. \nThe trip is roughly one hour outside of Kampala in a village near Gayaza\, called Kijjo. All gear is rentable through the club at the rock; just remember to bring lunch\, sunscreen and about 5 litres of water.
