DESCRIPTION:MCU-Nalubale Rafting Trip \n \nMCU and Nalubale are organising a special one-day rafting trip on Saturday 2nd June on a highly discounted price of $110 per person rather than the usual $140. \n  \nThe trip will start in Jinja and end at the Hairy Lemon\, where we’ll be joined by the MCU kayaking weekend and have a big fancy dress party in the evening which is always one of MCU’s social highlights.  \n  \nThe trip costs include: \n\n4-5 hours of incredible grade 4-5 whitewater and a 25km journey down the mighty White Nile\nTransport from Kampala\nTravel back to Kampala is only included if you travel back on the same day and don’t stay at the Hairy Lemon\nBreakfast\, lunch\, water and plenty of beers \nPhotos\n\nTake a look at the Nalubale website if you’d like to get more info www.nalubalerafting.com. \n  \nWhat you need for the trip: \n\nSunscreen!\nPreferably quick dry long-sleeve clothes. People most commonly burn their legs on rafting trips\, so if you have wear leggings or other pants that go over your knees\, but don’t wear jeans. \n\nKayakers: \nKayakers are welcome to kayak along\, either for free and then they receive no services or for $20 and then they get lunch\, drinks and transport between Jinja and the river. Only experienced kayakers are allowed to participate. \nAccomodation: \nPlease make sure to book with the Hairy Lemon (www.hairylemonuganda.com) to join us for a great night at one of the most beautiful places in Uganda. It’s time we got a break from the hustle and bustle in Kampala by heading to Kisoro\, in south western Uganda to hike Mount Muhavura/Muhabura. \n \nMount Muhavura/Muhabura stands at a height of about 4\,127m high/13\,450 ft and must be hiked in a day. It is a bit of a steep hike best to come fully prepared for a bit of a challenge – sounds like so much fun!!! \nThe plan is to depart from Kampala on Friday the 25th of May\, Start the hike early Saturday morning on the 26th of May and return to Kampala on Sunday the 27th of May. If you don’t reside in Kampala but still wanna come along\, you are more than welcome. \nEmail me (Pascqa Lorna-MCU trip co-odinator) on pascqalorna@gmail.com if you are interested in coming along. There is plenty of useful information on the internet about Mount Muhavura\, I strongly advice for all interested to read through so you have a clearer idea of what to expect and how best to prepare for the hike. \nFeel free to forward your questions to me as well\, I will try my best to help as much as possible.

SUMMARY:Girls Gone Nile
DESCRIPTION:It’s time for another Girls Gone Nile weekend\, which offers us kayaking ladies the chance to improve our skills and push ourselves that little bit harder without the pressure of having the guys around while having an awesome time hanging out with each other. \nWe’ll spend Saturday surfing Superhole\, where we can work on our surfing and rolling skills in a more protected environment. You should have taken at least 3 lessons with KTN and have some basic rolling skills to come to Superhole. \nOn Sunday\, we’ll be doing a river run where we’ll be going down all the big stuff and spend some time at Nile Special at the end. For this you should have done at least one river run before. The ladies that aren’t good enough yet can organise a lesson with KTN on the Sunday. \nWe’ll be camping at the famous Land right by Superhole on Saturday night\, cook our own food and enjoy some drinks around the fire. \nAnyone not into kayaking\, or not quite good enough yet can join us for the social side and enjoy hanging out at the Land. \nIf you dont have your own camping gear\, see whether you can share a tent with someone or post on the MCU facebook page whether you can borrow the equipment.
