SUMMARY:7 Hills Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Historical walk is back! \n\nLegend has it that Kampala\, like Rome\, is a city built on seven hills. The city derives its name Kampala for the Luganda work “Kasozi ka Mpala” which means a Hill of many Impala. The Kampala of today comprises 21 hills\, but a walk through the 7 original hills will give you the opportunity to explore the genesis of the present day city.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe walk will be led by Deo Lubega\, Patron of the Mountain Club and prodigious story teller. The 7 hills are: Nsambya\, Kibuli\, Nakasero\, Old Kampala\, Namirembe\, Lubaga\, Lubiri. The route weaves between the hills along paths and feeder roads and takes approximately 5-6 hours to walk.\n\n\nThe start and finish point will be the Moonland Gardens on Nsambya-Gaba Road (a safe place to park with a small charge). You can contact Deo to sign up at 0708114682 or at 0775632304.\n\nThe walk will start at 8 o clock SHARP!
