Nile River Festival 2018

Whether you’re competing or spectating, the festival is one not to be missed!
The Nile River Festival is a four-day event that makes the most of some of the biggest rapids in the world and celebrates all that is awesome about the River Nile, here in Uganda.
Every year, the NRF draws some of the best athletes from around the world to compete for the overall champion’s title.
The four events are:
- Thursday: Big Air Ramp & Mystery SUP Event – Competitors launch themselves off NRE’s ramp and try to throw massive moves to impress the crowds & judges. SUP event TBC.
- Friday: Extreme Endurance Race – A 35km race down big grade 5 white water, you’ll feel it on Saturday…
- Saturday: Nile Special Freestyle & SUP X Race – The greatest show on earth, well we think so, see some huge moves from the world’s best kayakers. This year we will be running SUP-X races down the Nile Special wave train in the breaks between the freestyle competition in association with our sister company Nile SUP.\
- Sunday: Hendri Coetzee Itanda Fall Memorial Race – an extreme race like no other.
Hosted in paradise by Kayak the Nile and Nile SUP in association with Nile River Explorers and the Hairy Lemon Uganda.
