Mt. Kenya Batian Climb

For all you serious climbers: Mount Batian is Kenya’s highest peak, at 5200m! To summit this beast, you have to master roughly 20 pitches from 4800-5200m.  You will need to have a lot of experience in multi-pitch climbing and prepare well for cold weather and altitude complications.  The climbs are generally low grades, but logistics and altitude make it very challenging.  The costs are relatively low at 380 USD for park entry and climbing permit.  Food, transport, lodging and gear on your own/shared cost. There is a maximum number of 6 people for this trip. Interested? Contact matt.battani@gmail.com.
